People work with a coach to close the gap between where the are and where they want to be – the space between dreams and reality. Often the catalyst in hiring a coach is a problem to be solved; a person is stuck, frustrated or lost and they realise the current approach is no longer working. A coach assists with this challenge by offering an objective yet empathetic mirror and acting as a champion and challenger. The focus, however, is a soft focus – it’s not about “fixing” things, it is primarily about discovery, awareness and choice. You can find a recent ICF study and stats on the benefits of coaching here
What is expected of me?
You know what they say. You get out what you put in. This is no different. To really benefit from our time together you need to come with open curiosity, truthfulness and vulnerability. You also need to put in practice what you learn, taking on challenges and stretching yourself – this includes following through with commitments and agreements when you return home. Don’t worry though – you will have tools, resources and structures to support you in taking the magic and momentum home with you.
Where are you located?
We are based in Midigama, South Sri Lanka 5 minutes from Ebb & Flow Jungalows (location here). Currently, we travel from Matara right down to Bentota, however for full day retreats and customised experiences this is flexible.
Where do you hold these sessions?
You have two options. Either we can come to your hotel or villa. Alternatively at the beautiful Sri Yoga Shala in Unawatuna (location here). Note: should you wish for us to visit you at your location please ensure you have a quiet and private space where you feel comfortable to have an open, honest and animated conversation. This is key to ensure we maximise the time together.
Confidentiality is a integral to all we do. All initial communication (including the contact us form) right up to your time in Sri Lanka you can rely on full confidentiality. This is not only a personal commitment, it’s also a professional one. As an International Coaching Federation accredited coach Verity is bound by the ICF code of ethics.
How do I pay for the sessions?
Payment for sessions is made online prior to the sessions and made via PayPal and full payment is required in advance. In order to pay via PayPal you do not need to have an account, you simply need a credit card. This is an internationally recognised safe and secure way to pay. You can find out more about paying with PayPal here.
Cancellations & Changes
When notified 48 hours or more before a scheduled session then we provide a full refund, less a standard 10% admin fee. No refunds are given for cancellations less than 48 hours before the scheduled time. In case of rescheduling we request 48 hours notice and where possible a new time will be found. Do note however that session scheduling is done based on time availability and it may not always be possible to move a session short notice. In these cases the cancellation above will apply.
Do you offer group coaching?
Yes we do, and these group coaching sessions or packages ar customised according to what you need. Some examples include – an end of year celebration and review with friends or small team building, with a focus on increasing self-awareness and impact on others.
Can you help me with other travel details?
My partner and I have spent over four years living in Sri Lanka and have two travel businesses so we are well equipped to help you with travel advice, accommodation, transport and all the bits in between. Just let us know where you need help with these additional elements when you fill out the contact form!
Can we set up a skype call to chat first?
If a core aspect of your trip to Sri Lanka is self-reflection, improvement and increased wellness, you would most benefit from a customised experience that suits your needs. In these cases, we are happy to arrange a Skype call to discuss your needs and objectives. Customised coaching experiences start from ($500 USD)
